Technologies for Oxide Electronics School

Sant Feliu de Guíxols (Catalonia, Spain) 15-17 March 2018

The new opportunities that oxide-based thin films technologies offer for data storage and computing, energy harvesting, optical and high frequency telecommunications, etc. have been the driving force boosting in the last decade an intensive and unprecedented research race on functional oxide-based thin films.

Now, it is time to bring the knowledge emerged in materials, concepts and functions to practical realization, approaching oxide science and technology to Industry.

The EU “TO-BE COST ACTION” aims to contribute to this demand by organizing a School where academia and industry communities involved or interested in these emerging technologies are brought together to discuss about potentialities, needs and bottlenecks. More importantly, these two communities will jointly contribute to forming the future generation of oxide electronics scientists/engineers in charge of bringing oxides into the production world. We aim to pursue an integrated approach jointly taking into account materials science issues, device concepts, market needs and comparison with complementary or competing technologies.

It will be our pleasure to welcome you to Sant Feliu to attend the School that will last for three intense days (from March 15th to March 17th, 2018).
